Step By Step Dance School is very proud to be an integral part of the wider communities in which we operate, and are thrilled to have assisted schools, companies and different organisations and media establishments in their charity appeals through the provision of our fantastic ‘Strictly’ style Latin and Ballroom Dance events!!Our talented and lovely dancers are always willing to share their skills and expertise with both local and higher profile celebrities and gladly give up their time over a series of weeks to enable others to have the experience of a lifetime and dance their socks off in glitzy and glamorous competitions!!
We at Step By Step Dance School would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our dancers and supporters without whom these events would not be possible and these incredible funds totally more than £90,000 would not have been raised! Thank you one and all!!!
Here’s a list of just a few events, the charities we’ve supported and the funds we have assisted in raising for these wonderful causes:
Strictly Banbury 2009, 2010, 2011
These annual events have been held in conjunction with the Banbury Guardian Newspaper for a range of local charities over the years, including Dogs for the Disabled Ronnie’s Journey. Funds raised over the three years are in excess of £10,000Banbury and District Interschool Event
This event consisted of teachers and staff from 7 different schools who raised money for their designated charities, including Cancer Research UK, through ticket sales and personal sponsorship in a ‘Strictly Schools’ Dance event. Funds raised in this fantastically popular and well supported event was in excess of £4,700Strictly Astwell Benefice 2010
Six local churches and three pubs within Rector Will Adams’ Astwell Parish designated representatives to be sponsored to dance for their allocated charities in a highly popular and over subscribed glitzy dance event. Tickets sold out two weeks into the practices with and additional event being organised to enable those disappointed in being unable to get tickets to watch! This event is scheduled again this year, 2011, and will run for 2 nights in a row!! Funds raised in these incredible events raised more than £7,400Strictly Chron Dancing 2010
The Northampton Chronicle and Echo Newspaper and Image Magazine teamed up with Step By Step Dance School in the aim of raising money for their designated charity of the Haematology Cancer Unit at Northampton General Hospital. This very high profile event boasted incredible local celebrities who drew in an audience of 4,600 to the Park Inn Northampton, in an amazing evening of dance. Tickets sold out two weeks prior to the event with a waiting list of over 200!! Such was its popularity! Funds raised in this amazing media event were approximately £13,000!!!Strictly Northampton 2011
This year, it’s back!!! Bigger and better!! ‘Strictly Northampton’ as it is now called, is at The Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton on November 26th 2011. Amazing photos shoot at Kelmarsh hall with all three organisations working with Step By Step, The Chronicle and Echo, Image Magazine, BBC Radio Northampton, heralded a very successful launch of the event where another batch of high profile celebrities tasted their first dance lesson with all of the stunningly dressed Step By Step Dancers. The very first day saw over 200 tickets sold in 24 hours and several reserved, and at four months prior to the event itself, almost 600 tickets have already sold!!!Strictly Brackley 2011
This year the birthplace of Step By Step Dance School is hosting its very own ‘Strictly’ event in aid of the Mayor’s charity, ‘Mind in Brackley’. Once again, tickets are going like hotcakes with more than half sold two weeks into practice with four weeks still to go!! Local Celebrities are also being sponsored by family, friends and neighbours, and by week two have raised more than £1,000 in sponsorship!!Other events linked with Charity causes:
